I am a student at Harvard who wishes to state concern at the decision of the Harvard faculty to debase its academic standards by allowing final examinations to be cancelled this spring.
The reasoning behind this action was that the present time is one of crisis; but I believe that this "crisis" pertains less to international events than to self-conscious radicals gathering in large numbers in order to proliferate their malaise the more effectively. The administration at Harvard was intimidated by these. students and appeased them.
This foolish move led to more intimidating demands which in turn have ended undergraduate studies tor this year. Thus, the most destructive elements have been entirely successful in getting students onto the streets.
