Call me unfair for picking on a college journalist, but "Islam: a religion based on peace" by Tony Chiorazzi in the University of Southern California's Daily Trojan today is my candidate for this prize. It has every platitude, inaccuracy, and banality in the book, from mistranslating the word Islam to getting the number of Muslims in the United States wrong to that hoary business about "A Muslim can't be a terrorist, and a terrorist can't be a Muslim." Readers are challenged to send me examples they find yet more egregious. (April 6, 2005)
April 23, 2005 update: Robert Spencer at JihadWatch.org proposes another horrible article. The race to the bottom has begun.
