The ekurd.net has published a map today of what a future Kurdistan might look like, and it is vast, stretching from the Mediterranean to the Persian Gulf, nearly bifurcating Turkey in two and dominating the inhabited portions of Iraq. If anything remotely like this state were to emerge, it would profoundly change the politics of the Middle East.

Aug. 25, 2013 update: Curiously, the same ekurd.net website a year later has published a similar but slightly less ambitious version of the same map; this Kurdistan, for instance, does not reach the Persian Gulf.
