Dr. Pipes,

I just finished reading 'A Mandate for Terror' and found it to be an extraordinarily accurately detailed and in-depth analysis of the UN and its terror policy. In my opinion your comments at the end of your review are not warranted. I have personal familiarity with most of the events described in the book and the moral degradation caused by cheering the PLO sponsored international terrorism at the UN. One must be extremely angry, as Dr. Shoenberg is, at the extent to which so many other issues, conflicts, human rights and refugees in the world were neglected due to the obsession with Israel and the euphoria with the PLO. If I want to be critical of the book I would say that Dr. Shoenberg is too restrained.

It is certainly a challenging book, but I believe that it should be like this, there is no other choice when examining this unique phenomenon in human history, a world wide surrender to terrorism with the exception of Israel and most of the time the US and Costa Rica.

Unfortunately this continues to a large degree to this day in the world. As for Israel, even the US is engaged now in rewarding the Masterminders of so much misery in the world with a new terror State of their own. This is ironic at a time when the US has already dismantled two terror States and is concerned with several more.
