Syed Kasim,

You make some interesting points. The problem, as I see it, is you can SPIN interpretations of the Koran in a wide variety of ways. For every passage in the Koran that makes points like:

"This is the way Islam says "all muslims, christians and Jews would go to heaven in case they
led a reasonably good life". (this is a quote from your comments)

On the flip side you can show RADICAL statements that promote intolerance, violence towards other religions (Christians, Jews etc) At best Islam is one huge contradiction - it is a Jekyll and Hyde Vegas act - being acted out on the world stage. One second it is talking about peace and acceptance - and then all of a sudden - it is talking about killing people. That is part of the problem - when Muslims SPIN this in the media - they only accent the positive side. They never bring out the "mad demon stuff".

You do not see Churches around the world being used to plot violent attacks! ! ! - you do however constantly hear of reports - from all over the world - (including in Brampton or Mississauga Ontario, Canada - where you probably live) of Mosques being used to spread hate and plan attacks. I am not saying everyone in all Mosques are doing this - but the percentage of Muslims doing it is way way to high to be put in the category of "a few bad apples". This is a very very serious global problem. A Muslim problem.

Take the following for example. These are taken from the Koran, Hadith and other credible leaders in the Muslim community. Does this sound like peace, love and acceptance to you. Because it sure does not to me. It is also important to point out that what is below is only the tip of the iceberg - and that ALL Muslims believe this - it is part of your faith - opps - sorry - I mean cult.

"Fight against such as those to whom the Scriptures were given [Jews and Christians]...until they pay tribute out of hand and are utterly subdued." (Surah 9:27-)

"It is He who has sent forth His apostle with guidance and the true Faith [Islam] to make it triumphant over all religions, however much the idolaters [non-Muslims] may dislike it." (Surah 9:31-)

"If you do not fight, He will punish you sternly, and replace you by other men." (Surah 9:37-)

"Prophet make war on the unbelievers and the hypocrites and deal rigorously with them. Hell shall be their home." (Surah 9:73)

"Believers, make war on the infidels who dwell around you. Deal firmly with them." (Surah 9:121-)

"Slay them wherever you find them...Idolatry is worse than carnage...Fight against them until idolatry is no more and God's religion reigns supreme." (Surah 2:190-)

"Fighting is obligatory for you, much as you dislike it." (Surah 2:216)

"The only true faith in God's sight is Islam." (Surah 3:19)

"And the Jews say: Uzair is the son of Allah; and the Christians say: The Messiah is the son of Allah; these are the words of their mouths; they imitate the saying of those who disbelieved before; may Allah destroy them; how they are turned away" ( "9.30" )

This taken from the Hadith, a body of traditions relating to Mohammed and now supplemental to the Koran:

He (Abu Hurayah ) reported the messenger of Allah as saying: The last hour will not come before the Muslims fight the Jews and the Muslims kill them, so that Jews will hide behind stones and trees and the Stone and the tree will say, O Muslim, O servant of God! There is a Jew behind me; come and kill him. The only exception will be the box-thorn for it is one of the trees of the Jews. Sahih of Muslim, quoted by Israel and the Prophecies of Al Quran by Ali Akbar, Bismi Publishers 1992, p.44

Palestinian Media Watch in Israel reported that Palestinian religious leaders had taught publicly that this Hadith (Islamic traditions attributed to Mohammed) is an authoritative directive of Islam today, expressing Allah¹s will that obedient Muslims kill Jews). (In the terminology of Islam, unbelievers are Jews and Christians)

I do not think a religion should change from hate to acceptance Like the Wind Blows. Many parts of the Koran show signs of mental disease. Mohammad should have been in a hospital not leading a religion.
