reality check...Reader comment on item: The United States Government: Patron of Islam? Submitted by donvan (United States), Oct 29, 2007 at 12:47 "Islam" exists only in the minds of "Muslims" There is no "Nation" of Islam. There is a worldwide pandemic of a severe mental health problem. A "Muslim Personality Disorder" which begins with the internalization of a mythology of such profound dogma that it can distort the individuals personality . The mythology promotes suicidal/homicidal ideation, vilification of others, justification of ongoing violence toward others, maladaptative behaviors, and inflexible and obsessive fixations, ie 'all Jews are bad', apostates, infidels, deserve death, etc. The disorder is unique to the so called "Muslims" , since they have internalized the mythology and elevated it to a religious status. In an estimated 10% of the 'muslim' population, the disorder is severe enough to animate violence and the destruction of the 'self' in order dehumanized others.
