The Right of Israel to Exist as a Jewish StateReader comment on item: More CAIR Dirty Tricks against Me Submitted by Barry Goldberg (United States), Nov 30, 2007 at 11:39 The cat is indeed out of the bag. Olmert, for all his perceived weakness, has laid bare the issue that none in the past have dared to broach--namely, that the Arab world must acknowledge the existence of Israel as a Jewish state before there can be a viable "road map" to peace. The responses by the Arab world to the centrality of Olmert's thesis also lay bare, as you so aptly point out, the hypocrisy of peace negotiations, as they steadfastly refuse to accept the right of Israel to exist. It seems to this observer that this is the one and only issue that Olmert, yourself, and others must keep before the eye of the world, for it is only through this issue, and such critiques as yours here, that the world may arrive at a better understanding of what is involved and the intractability of those who seek Israel's elimination by all means. P.S. Bless you, sir, for all you are and all you do! Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
