Privilege to Travel - not a god given right.

Reader comment on item: "A Room Full of American Muslim Citizens"

Submitted by AussiemanOne (United States), Dec 2, 2007 at 16:28

This reminds me of the scenario where the muslims wanted the right to wear their head-dresses over their hair and face during photographs of thier Drivers License. I must remind everyone that the issuance of a drivers license in any one of the 50 wonderful United States is a "privilege and not a god (whomever yours may be) right". Sure you can do travel the states from border to border without interuption or interrogation, but in order to do so you must succumb to these rules. Lest I remind everyone that it appears I haven't heard about anybody else objectioning to the photographic portrait of their face except for the Muslims. (HMM?) If we made a special exemption for them, then would we also have to for the Irish, people with tatoos, short people. Come on, this is rediculous.
