Not really reliable statisticsReader comment on item: Muslim Populations in European Cities Submitted by Durendal (Netherlands), Jan 13, 2008 at 21:33 These figures only state the number of people with a Muslim background, it doesn't state the actual number of Muslims. If we are to believe that a city like Amsterdam contains 180,000 Muslims then this would require the cities 44 mosques to be capable of housing 4000 worshippers on average. They do not manage this number, of course you could argue there are enormous numbers of illegal mosques, but even this seems very unlikely. The lack of any serious Islamic political grouping to get votes in elections is also notable , you will, by the way, never get any reliable statistics as we have had bad experiences with keeping track of peoples religious affiliation.
