muslims once ruled most of the Earth, they want it back

At various times in history the muslims did control most of the world. All of the middle east including Israel and large parts of Europe.

By conquest or by conversion muslims had tremendous power. They do not have this now. They are broken up into different countries ( some at war with each other, at different times) no control over Israel , and no dominance in Europe.

They are extremely hurt in their pride. ( and we know the consequence when an islamist loses his honor. We have seen fathers murder their own daughters , if they feel they have lost the family honor.)

Today many islamists wish to have this world power back.

Countries like iran, iraq ( under saddam) and others wish to have atomic weapons to gain this world power. Most islamists feel that they are fullfilling God's will or ( allahs will) by dominating the world. They feel the world and all of the people belong to allah. Having a world that is not under muslim control just will not do.

This is one of the reasons there is so much hate spoken and attacks against Jews and Christians. The islamists see Christians and Jews having so much and muslims living in poverty, ignorence and a state of disempowerment. It is an outrage and an afront to allah in the eyes of the islamist.

Bottom line, the islamists will do anything to regain this world power ! That is why islamists have for some time and right now are at war with the non-muslim world !
