I apologize on behalf of EuropeReader comment on item: But He Was Good to His Mother Submitted by Jason Eritano (United Kingdom), Dec 3, 2003 at 07:43 Americans and Israelis must be thinking that we Europeans are mad and with some reasons. What Daniel Pipes writes is all true and you need to acknowledge that you are very, very lucky to have people like Daniel Pipes in America and Israel. Could you come to Europe, Mr. Pipes? I beg you, come to London, Paris, Milan, Rome, Hambourg and tell them how things are. Unfortunately, we could never have scholars like Daniel Pipes in Europe because the left-wing wouldn't allow it. Left-wingers have imposed multiculturalism upon Europe and alternative views are not allowed. Those who question multiculturalism are attacked and need to fear for their safety. It got to this. Left-wingers are prepared to use violence against those who question multiculturalism. Advocating integration into European society is also a big taboo. The left-wing had it its own way for too long and we are not allowed to ask basic questions about the people who are settling in Europe. We cannot question multiculturalism and, if we do, we become targets for violence and abuse from the left-wing. We are afraid to speak out because we fear the consequnces. Daniel Pipes is entitled to question multiculturalism and to propose alternatiuves. Multiculturalism is a utopia and, like all utopias, it is very dangerous. For example, Lebanon used to be a multicultural society where Christians and Muslims lived together. Lebanon imploded. In Europe, those who advocate integration into European society are dismissed to vicious Islamophobes who hate other cultures. That is not true. But, since when has truth been a concern for the left-wing? Left-wingers have successfully employed violence, intimidation and defamation as a way to shut down the debate on multiculturalism.Should different cultures be integrated into European society? This question is the biggest taboo in Europe. Multiculturalism has become an absolute truth and those who question it end up like the heretics during the Inquisition. Multiculturalism means that difference should be encouraged whereas integration means that new cultures should be assimilated into the European way of life. Left-wingers have no time for the integrationist approach and are prepared to use violence in order to impose multiculturalism....
