No Thanks NeededReader comment on item: A tale of two crypts Submitted by John R. Peacher (United States), Dec 18, 2003 at 23:31 It is amazing that the United States of America has been responsible for the freedom, unlimited and limited at times, that tens of millions of peoples around the globe have enjoyed since our inception as a power in world politics. As a nation, we have made mistakes, terrible ones at times, but no other nation on earth, save the Roman or Greek empire, have had such influence.I feel history will record, after we as a nation also pass from the scene for whatever reason in the coming century(s), that we as a nation were sincere in our efforts to better the human condition for all peoples that inhabit this planet. We have been arrogant at times, too forceful at times, and not forceful enough when we should have been. But in the overall consideration of our performance, we have truly been a nation inhabited from all peoples and all nations, that sincerely believe that all men are created equal and have been given rights by the Creator of the Universe to live in freedom.
