The Sovereignty of IsraelReader comment on item: Those Gentle Humanitarians at Fatah Submitted by Rebecca Moulds (United States), May 7, 2008 at 17:12 Abbas Zaki's statement about driving Israelis from Palestine goes to show that he doesn't understand who Israel is, or who God is, for that matter. The State of Israel, as we know it, may be 60 years old on May 8th, but the land of Israel is thousands of years old, the people of Israel have been eternally blessed, the nation of Israel shall always be. One needs only look into the Scriptures to see how God gave the land to Abraham and his seed forever. (Genesis 13:14) . Israel has as many enemies now as it had in the past, but thank God that the USA is still a staunch ally, and we need constant reminders about how this tiny democracy must have our support. Israel may appear to be a much more secular state than it was, but that doesn't negate the fact of its sovereignty. The Palestinian Authority has much to answer for, and as for the torture and death of Omar Barghouti, someday this will be avenged, but by God, not by man.
