pleaseReader comment on item: Islam and Human Ideology Submitted by A. HAIDAR (United States), Jun 8, 2008 at 01:05 I have no idea how did I get to this site and found this. I was shocked with the attitude, lack of knowledge ... Have you met with or have any true Muslim friends or neighbors? First, I am a muslim. Never hurted or desired to harm anyone, neither my parents, my cousins, or my friends that I grew up with. So it kinda hurts a little when I read such comments. You need to differentiate between the religion Islam and what some moslims do in the name of Islam. All what you mentioned in your comment are true to a certain degree, but they do not reflect the teachings of the religion or the Koran. They do occur in certain moslim countries, but they reflect local traditions and old costumes of these societies. It is like if I conclude that all christians are terrorists due to what Mcvay did in Oklahoma, or all Catholic priests are bad because of the many many child molestation cases reported. Religion is one thing, and what people do in the name of religion is another thing. True Islam is a peaceful religion, and most Muslims live by it, just like most other religions. There are good moslims, and lot of bad ones, just like other human beings throughout this world.
