To Know How Much Truth Hurts is to Put Oneself in the Place of Jesus Christ on the Cross-Then Feel the Pain of Rejection and UnbeliefReader comment on item: Prepare to attack [Iran] Submitted by M. Tovey (United States), Jun 25, 2008 at 18:46 I will call you friend, for I have no real reason to name you as my enemy. Yet in so saying, I must declare that Yeshua HaMashiach is greater to me than any friend I have ever had, or will ever have. Why? Because, after the failure of my earlier Christian upbringing to lead me to salvation, Jesus Christ did not give up on me and brought the truth of the Hebrew Holy Bible to me in a way that no other person except Jesus could. It is in Him, born of Jewish heritage, raised in Jewish circumstances, pleaded with the Jewish people to believe the Hebrew Holy Scriptures in order to believe that He was the one the Jewish prophets spoke of concerning His life, death, burial, resurrection and ascension, that I have forgiveness of my sins and my future with Him is still as true as when they were first written, in the Hebrew Holy Scriptures. His Holy Spirit communes with me continually (even when I am in my stubborn moments of pride), to assure me that He is still with me at all times. I CANNOT REFUSE THAT TYPE OF LOVE! Now, it is the lie of the Adversary that continues to assert that there is some flaw in the Hebrew Holy Scriptures that is reason enough for not believing the truth contained therein. From the time that the Chief Rulers spread the lies about Jesus Christ and His fulfillment of Scriptures, the Jewish people had a hard time with believing the Tanakh since they had to deal with how to understand fulfilled prophetic passages they did not believe were accomplished when they were. Further, as there are so many commentaries, interpretations and other documents of virtually every Holy Writ, it is in the scholarship that prefers these supplemental documents that we finds the greatest divergence from the truth of the original Word of the LORD. Here it is we find the corruption (like the apocrypha, the so called gospel of Thomas) so readily referred to, staring from even the time of the earliest church. Couple that with a corruption of belief (not a corruption of the Holy Bible) of the Christian church that began to compromise the truth in the Holy Bible, and became very hard for people to whom the witness was being given to understand when the lies of the Adversary were substituted. It is in this time of a corrupted witness (and not a corrupted Hebrew Holy Scripture) that Islam made its appearance. The Quran does not name Yeshua as HaMashiach, but regards Him merely as one of the prophets. Only in the later attempts to associate Yeshua with the al-Madhi does one hear that Yeshua HaMashiach is to return as the King of kings. One must be very careful in this. The true distinction can only be made in the Hebrew Holy Scriptures. In the question of who is greater, the Father or the Son, you evidently did not read the answer, or more likely, did not understand the answer. In the Eternal Godhead, the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit, are equal. In the mortal realm, the father is master over the son, which was confirmed in the capacity of Yeshua, being in human form, was found in submission to the Father in Heaven. [John 5:30) I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me. John 8:28.) Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am [he], and [that] I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things. John 15:10) If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love]. So if the correct understanding of the Hebrew Holy Scriptures is adopted, and not the corrupted teaching of unbelievers over so many centuries, one will find that in worshipping Yeshua HaMashiach, the Son of Almighty God, one is worshipping the Father as well, for it is so ordained; which by the way, even in the current practice of Orthodox Judaism it is still not accepted, so one cannot make that association to argue that true Christian disciples worship the same way as unbelieving Jewish people. Finally, it does say that Jehovah Jireh comforted Hagar over her distress concerning Ishmael. Remember the rest of the story, though, that this was after they were put out by Abraham, who was told that his promise was to be through Isaac. Does it not conform to logic that if it was the other way around, that the Jewish people would have corrupted the scriptures and eliminated that part of the story. They did not be cause the LORD kept it in, for His later plan to use the descendents of Ishmael for His later purposes. But Israel the people remains according to the Hebrew Holy Scriptures and in the land for the same reason, in obedience to His Holy Bible. And for the record, Jesus Christ did save me, my salvation being secured by His promise to me, as written in His blood in the Hebrew Holy Scriptures, shed on the cross in Jerusalem as He gave up His life for me, and justified my belief in Him by His resurrection and ascension. And here is the insurance, that only as the Savior King, equal with the Father as Almighty God, was He able to do so; in that you are correct, only Almighty God could save me, and He DID (blessed be the Holy Name of Jesus Christ the LORD)!Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
