Khomeini A Blessing.Reader comment on item: Iran after Khomeini Submitted by Alex Shey (United States), Jul 29, 2008 at 21:35 If you are an Iranian, you might ask what blessing? After all, the blessing of Khomeini was disguised very well. Going from ever expanding freedom and prosperity under the Shah, to submission to Islam and poverty. From a life with the possibility to pursue joy, to a life with only the possibility to live in sorrow and painful regret. From the 9th wealthiest country to the 104th wealthiest in just a few years. Yes the magic of Khomeini's Islam is hard to see, for it is hidden in mysteries. God bless Khomeini and everyone he enlightened. Especially those who had the opportunity to pause and reflect on what a great shah and system of government they had, relative to the society he governed.
