Vote out Wally Herger

Reader comment on item: The California Congress of Republicans & Its Strange Friends

Submitted by Marvin Standridge (United States), Oct 4, 2008 at 16:12

I am wondering if you folks have a Republican in line to replace Wally Herger? If you do I will vote for that person, if not I will vote for a Democrat even if is a chimpanzee. When Wally Herger said to the Washington Post "even though my constituents were against the bailout 100 to 1, I voted for it", not once but twice. That is the single most arrogant self serving statement I have ever heard. I want a representative (if such a person exists) to go to Washington and represent the will of the people and not be so arrogant as to think his/her constituents are too stupid to consider what they want. I register under other as"none of the above" .

I quit the Democrats to become a Republican (during Ronal Regan era) then I quit the Republicans because I can't see a dimes difference between the two parties.
