Saudi government should be overthrownReader comment on item: Hearing on "Should the United States Do More to Help U.S. Citizens Held against Their Will in Saudi Arabia?" Submitted by Farzin Mojtabai (United States), Feb 23, 2004 at 00:57 The Saudi government kills women for leaving their homes without a male relative. Women can not drive, be admitted to a hospital without written consent from a male relative, and make up only 3% pf the workplace. They are prisoners and should not be considered an ally rather it should be demanded they leave power, and bring freedom to their people. Saddam was not as brutal as these people, and the United States does business with these people, and helps to keep them in power. HYPOCRISY has never been more evident. We can not put up with this, the Saudi people are being drowned out by their government. Women are stoned to death for even the accusation of adultery and are not allowed to testify in court. The only way a woman can win a rape case is if their is a confession or testimony from four male witnesses. This has nothing to do with Islam, this is insanity. The Saudi people deserve a chance to think for themselves. Imagine taking your most brutal convicted murderers out of jail and making them the head of government, giving them all the power, money and weaponry. That is what you have in Saudi Arabia. This is a travesty. Islam is what they use to try and justify their insanity. They try the classic we do x, y and z because it is in the name of Islam and for Allah. They are dangerous to their own people and the world. We must help these people gain freedom. Submitting....
