The Middle East peace process is a big and profitable business

If the Europeans, the Americans, and sad to say, at least some Israelis would face the fact that the Palestinian leadership, and indeed most Palestinians have as their heart's desire and political goal the destruction of Israel, they would have to give up the peace process business, and find some other way to make a living. By now it must be apparent that there is much more money to be made by supporting a phony baloney peace process than by facing the ugly truth of Palestinian intransigence.

Of all the tens if not hundreds of billions of dollars and Euros invested in photo ops, state visits, paper work, UN time, manpower, and material, airplane flights, diplomatic endeavours, newpaper and news service reporting, and the huge number of NGO's and private organizations which make a living promoting the peace process, not one single positive thing has been accomplished.

However, a lot of negative things have happened, besides the huge cost in human life lost or destroyed as a result of Palestinian terrorism and Israeli reprisal. Vast armies of corrupt security personnel now torture and kill Palestinians with impunity, Hamas in Gaza using it's forces against PLO sympathizers, and PLO forces in the West Bank using it's considerable force against alleged Hamas members. Not of course, to even mention the huge amounts of foreign aid which has been stolen and transferred to European banks by the various PLO and Hamas bigwigs to provide them with a comfortable old age retirement.

Dr. Pipes, the Middle East peace process has long since ceased to be a serious attempt to bridge the differences between the Palestinians and the Israelis, it has become a big business and now supports an entire "peace process industry" if you will, which now even includes " peace protest boat trips to Gaza."
