Re: AD and CEReader comment on item: Muslims Respond to a President Obama Submitted by dhimmi no more (United States), Dec 9, 2008 at 07:11 kman wrote > I recognize that as a rejection of the Christian base "AD" & "BC". No it is not >If that's how you prefer ro acknowledge your preference ok, but I would like to know what "CE" stands for and how it relates to the more commonly used "AD" & "BC". As far as I'm concerned AD and CE (common era) are one and the same and if you notice that I avoid using the islamic AH as it is more confusing and at times clearly made up by the Islamic sources. I only used it once in this post in regard to some Greek/Arabic papyri from Egypt that are dated because one can read in the papyri "in the year 22" which must be read as 22AH which is about 643CE or AD if you wish >In other words, so I have a reference point to your statements on times in history, how do I find the zero point for "CE"? See above. I hope explained it well Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
