quite simply because non-muslims who buy the Quran to find justification for terrorism and all the "evils" of the muslim world as highlighted by the media are taken aback when they read what the Quran is actually about. it mandates a close relationship with one God, it calls for giving to charity, loving thy neighbour, looking after the elderly, slaves, children. it ends racism and in Quran 60:8 calls for love for people of all faiths. the reality of the Quran is realised once people actally start reading it and lets hope this trend continues.
