Buying Into the Enemy's DogmaReader comment on item: Israelis Insult Islam, Face Criminal Charges Submitted by Mark S. Devenow (United States), Mar 8, 2009 at 17:45 These prosecutions in Israel, of all places, are in complete defiance of all logic and reason. They seem to signify that any depiction of Islam - of its atavism and emulous furies - which fails to abide the precious sensibilities of the avatars of civilization's worst enemies ought to be not merely subject to condemnation, but also prosecuted. There may be some point in attempting to understand (or perhaps even rationalize/relativize) the historically dark, evil, vengeful sides of Islam, but there can be no reason to ignore the history of Islam for what it is; of both negative and positive dimensions. Buying into the enemy's dogma - and Islam clearly admits few exceptions to the rule where countries in which Islam is the dominant force are overtly hostile to western civilization generally and the State of Israel in particular - that Islam may not be examined other than by the dictates of its adherents is crazy.
