To be honest, I voted for the Likud this time tooReader comment on item: Did Binyamin Netanyahu Predict 9/11? Submitted by Ken Besig (Israel), Mar 12, 2009 at 11:32 I have voted for the Likud in every election for the past thirty years, even when I realized that it's leadership was flawed. Just keep in mind that whatever Netanyahu's flaws, he has remained largely consistent in his behavior and policies regarding promoting and improving the Israeli economy and insuring the the safety of our citizens. Also, it is important to keep in mind that every other Israeli politician opposing him or other Likud leaders has routinely misled the Israeli public as to their real intentions until after they were elected, the election of Yitzchak Rabin in 1992 and his imposing the Oslo Accords on Israel being the most egregious example of an Israeli leader fooling the Israeli electorate. I do not expect my leaders to be perfect or entirely consistent since situations change and sometimes demand policy changes in response, but again, on the larger life and death issues, and especially the Israeli economy in these truly tumultous economic times, with Netanyahu in charge I will at least be able to sleep at night.
