No Ehab, we MUST judge Islam ONLY on the basis of Islamic countries and societiesReader comment on item: Dhimmitude at British Midland Airways Submitted by Abhi (United States), May 21, 2009 at 23:59 Dear Dr Pipes: The argument that islam should not be judged based on Islamic countries is absurd. If we do not judge Islam based on Islamic countries then what basis do we have to judge Islam? Instead of repeating this argument ad infinitum, Muslims should change the Islamic countries (if Islamic countries are so bad that Islam should not be judged based on them). Your respondent Ehab's argument do not hold any water. He says that the biggest crimes against humanity was done when Israel was created in 1948. May I know why all Islamic conquests during the entire history of Islam fail to qualify? The BMI employee who got fired for not subjecting herself to Saudi humiliating laws was courageous and must be applauded. I do not understand why the airlines that bend over backwards to accommodate the needs of their Islamic passengers cannot exempt one of their employyes to avoid Saudi Arabia as a destination. I will avoid flying BMI if it happens to fall in my travel plans. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
