Reader comment on item: Israel's Wayward Prime Ministers

Submitted by Peter G. Jones (United States), Jun 29, 2004 at 09:52

Mr. Pipes:
I have been reading your commentary for a couple of years or so, and I notice that recently you appear to have taken a different tack on issues related to israel and Iraq/War of Terror. Accusing the Israeli ministers of deception is quite egregious. It is fairly well established that, once in power, men who have spoken on issues from an outsider's point of view realize that being at the crunch point is vastly different from looking at it from the outside. So, too, it must be for commentators on affairs.

What hath wrought, then, this seachange of attitude ??

Best wishes,

Peter G. Jones
