London flashpointReader comment on item: Accept Shari'a in the West? Submitted by Andrew Kyle (United Kingdom), Aug 1, 2009 at 07:41 What benefit has Islam brought to host Western nations who have welcomed, housed, provided jobs, provided education for thier children, changed their laws to favour and protect and ensure platforms for Islamic ideology and worship - what benefit has Islam repayed those nations with? Countries of Western Europe unceasingly work to accommodate the Islamic perpective and in return there seems to be only irrational hate and anger. If Muslims don't like living in the U.K. - LEAVE. The worst thing about the issue of Islamic immigration to Western nations is the fact that displying any kind of objection to it is condemned as racist and illegal. I was born and raised in London. The levels of islamic immigration - something that the British people were never consulted on and never voted for - has transformed London into a collection of frightened, alienated subcultures. My city - and yes, it is MY CITY, has been transformed into an unrecognisable mess. The multi-cultural experiment has failed yet the British government ignore the growing problem. And Islamic immigration IS A PROBLEM. The indiginous people feel betrayed and cast out in their own land, and they feel that voicing any kind of protest or even an opinion will alienate them further. This will simply lead to simmering resentment and the development of an underground far-right wing ideology. The current British government has ensured a volatile future and our capital city will be the flashpoint.
