FBI, Others, Miss the Point...

Reader comment on item: The 9/11 Commission Report – Now What?

Submitted by Scott Ryan (United States), Jul 25, 2004 at 12:33

So, Ms. Rowley is worried more about the negative effects of "profiling" than the positive benefits ("Well, I think we have to be extremely careful. ")

Yes, Ms. Rowley, while the FBI is being so careful not to offend and to be sensitive, radical Islamic fundamentalists are busy plotting and killing.

And many on the left (far too many) help them along by seeing the war on terror as a Bush Admin. put-up job rather than a legitimate threat to national security.

Finally, we have a Congress that is now on 3 week hiatus and will not begin to seriously deal with the recommendations in the report until next year.

Sad to state it, but it may take another 9/11 like attack to finally wake people up to the nature and the seriousness of the threat.

Given the sad state of affairs that I've outlined above, that attack appears to be inevitable.

Scott Ryan.
