a women with great talents, and again so little respect for religions; that's truely tragicReader comment on item: Appreciating Oriana Fallaci Submitted by Jannat (Canada), Jan 25, 2010 at 19:48 It is so sad to hear know that a lady with such great talents, is so extremely narrow-minded by accusing and commenting on religious beliefs. Who does she think she is?,, trying to tell the rest of the world how to picture their views on Islam. Islam is a religion that orginated from a 1400 year old book called the holly Koran and yes it a religion of peace, you should understand the book in full before trying to tell about 6 billion people wha Islam is? Yes Muslims believe that an angel sent by God has handed the Koran to prophet Muhammed, and that the prophet could not have even wrote the Koran for two big reasons, (1) he couldn't read or write, he was illiterate, and (2) the Koran has itself sent proves by explaining scientific theories of astronomy, biology, physics, and more that only modern science can understand. The koran has detailed writings on such parts of science which are impossible to have been written by a man who lived 1400 years ago. Just a tip, that's where God is trying to make you understand, "I'm The One who has sent the Koran to you". If Miss Oriana Fallaci is really a 100% atheist and has no interest in understanding the Koran, then she possess no right be commenting on Islam or any other religion. Muslims consider prophet Muhammed as the last among all the prophets, and that Jesus (known as Isa in arabic) and the prophet of the Jews are also one of Islam's prophets. People shouldn't misunderstand the religion just because some illiterate and uncivilized people (who happened to muslims in a certain part of the world), who were daily victims of torture, deaths in the families, and war, took the plunge to retaliate as happened in 9/11. Why would someone just come from nowhere and would try to kill president Bush, the economy by blowing away WTC, and killing innocent people. The foolish work of killing innocent people is what left the rest of the muslims around the world embarrassed and shocked of their stupidities. But this shouldn't defame the religion, this has NOTHING to do with Islam. One should read the Koran to understand Islam, not judge by the actions of some foolish muslim people. If all of this happened because of the wrong doings of W George Bush and his father, then they are the ones who should pay for it, not the innocent citizens of USA. It is a shame that lack of literacy and the daily life tortures because of the wrong doings of these US presidents resulted in such events that took place in 9/11. Everyone dies one day, and so there's no point talking badmouth about people, their cultures, and religions. Ms Fallaci, I don't know if you're alive, but if you are reading this, then at least hear this out, the trees, the animals, the oceans, and every other creations built for the well-being of the human race is all to good to be true, unless there was so called God who is watching us. Seriously wake up.. Submitting....
