Do to the sheer number of islamists and terrorist acts carried out by muslim terrorists, when we hear a story like this we automatically wonder if this is another islamic act of violence.

Maybe that is not fair to this man or to any muslim, however we due have cause to think.

Since the beginning of islam there has been extreme violence. The " prophet " mohammed killed innocent people, he taught that muslims should not be friends with Jews or Christians and that anyone who leaves islam should be murdered.

The koran has many many passages that preach hate against all non muslims, hurtful things against women and in general treating people harshly unless they follow exactly what you say.

The islamic history is long and bloody. From the start of islam until now. The early American government payed a fee to islamic pirates who stated they had a legitimate claim to all goods and people who were not muslim. The islamists attacked Israel on day 1, in 1948 when the Jews were trying to have a safe haven for their people after the holocaust. They used violence against the Olympics in 1972. They have attacked school and sent rockets in to Israel, the islamists have kidnapped and killed people.

It is no wonder that we may prematurely jump to a conclusion about motive, when we have seen so many acts of islamic terror. More importantly we have not heard from moderates speaking out against muslim acts of evil. It is these acts and the silence after wards that make us think the way we do.

It is interesting, some muslim people say that the west is bigotted against muslims due to T.V, shows like 24, or by movies like True Lies, however it is not the fiction that influences us, it is the truth.
