Jewish defamers of IsraelReader comment on item: Obama, Israel & American Jews: The Challenge Submitted by Yuval Brandstetter MD (Israel), Jun 2, 2010 at 06:11 Jewish Americans like Jews everywhere can be categorized into three : Zionist Jews who see the Jewish redemption in the land of Israel , and by extension feel responsible for all Jews and the longevity of the Jewish People Anti-zionist Jews who see the Jewish State as a threat to their present status in the lands of diaspora Jews who dont care one way of another, and by extension dont care for their Jewish identity Long term, the latter two groups are self-terminating. Anti-Zionists who join antisemitic sentiments and activities are unlikely to remain Jewish for another generation because they have nothing with which to identify. Jews who dont care are non-jews by definition, because the very essence of the Jewish people is Kol Yisrael Chaverim, all Israelites are members of the tribe. The Jewish people is one of the smallest on the planet. That is because only a small hard enduring kernel can withstand the vicissitudes of antisemitism. The State of Israel will not change this truism, for it is merely the latest expression of the Jewish phenomenon, obeying the same historical rules.
