Call it a dayReader comment on item: Why Israel must win the war against the Palestinians Submitted by Ghulam Muhammed, Mumbai (India), Jun 6, 2010 at 15:10 Thanks for the extended interview. I used to read your line, that Palestinians should be made to realize that they have lost. I just could not figure out what you meant. In this interview, when you gave the example of other nations, who realized they have lost and then came to terms with new realities, I was able to understand the full meaning of what you expected from the Palestinians. And as you correctly surmised that there is no sign that either Palestinians accept that they have lost, or they will ever accept that they have lost. In a sense, Jews over time have come to so many occasion in history, that they realized they have lost, disbursed and came back to pick up the pieces once again. In that sense, you are correct that Palestinians have not lost and this is my personal feeling that they will never lose, as in fact justice is on their side. Israel is imposing a solution on them, by force of arms, in an incremental way and even by creating facts on the ground. Not only Palestinians, but the Arab world, the Muslim world and even the rest of the world, cannot fully sympathize with Israel's high-handed unilateralism. Jews by their religious pursuance, have great respect the LAW. But as a state, Israel has played exceptionally truant with Laws. Even the international laws are being looked upon with contempt. All this brings to the point, that time is not in Israel's side and world will once again get wary of the 'Jew' and gang against Israel. The writing is on the wall. It is for Israel to call it a day and try to make amend to win the trust of the people of the world as well as the goodwill of the Arab and Muslims of the world.
