Sick looks consistent to me

Reader comment on item: Gary Sick's Same Old Song

Ok, on Aug. 26, 1988 Mr. Sick states, "There is something here. I just don't know how much." That shows that he has not reached a conclusion, but he is beginning to consider the possibility of the veracity of the theories to some extent.

Then on October 30, 1988 he says, "At first I dismissed this, but not any more. I'm convinced..."

Then on April 15, 1991 he says, "I again heard them during the 1988 election campaign, and I again refused to believe them..."

I remember Gary Hart dropping out of the elections in mid-1987, so the election campaigns had been going on even before 1988. That means that there was plenty of time between January 1988 to July 1988 for Mr. Sick to "hear them" and "refuse to believe them" before his first announcement that he had started to change his mind in late August.

Mr. Sick's statements seem perfectly consistent and reasonable.
