West, it is Islam Against The RestReader comment on item: West-Muslim Relations since 9/11 Submitted by NuritG (United States), Dec 16, 2010 at 21:23 I tend to agree with Mr. Pipes...in ten years we shall see if these pundits were wrong opposing Mr. Pipe's points of view. Though Iran's nuclear power ambition is rather debilitating, once overcome, the Iranian people are ready to burst out of the mullah's regime's chains and join the modern world, kind of Communism breaking the Berlin Wall. The Turks, on the other hand, are adopting a very dangerous Islamic extremism policy and are joining the Iran-Syria-Hezbollah-Hamas-Venezuela axis of evil. Continuing on this path, Turkey will become the greatest threat to the West, nesting in the back yard of Europe. It is doing so cleverly, as the West is still very much accustomed to think Turkey is the bridge between East and West and are not paying attention to the Turkish delight gathering storm. Sadly Turkey is showing fast growing Islamic radicalism tendencies, which may prove that Mr. Pipes is right faster than the ten years time frame he allowed for the panel to come to his realization.
