When To Say No and Yes BenReader comment on item: A New Netanyahu vis-à-vis Syria? Submitted by Jay1 (United States), Jan 3, 2011 at 23:00 Dr. Pipes has on more than one ocassion, expressed suspicion that Benjamin Netanyahu will give away the store with regard to the Golan Heights.Hes probably right. All Israeli leaders "wing it" in negotiations. They have no strategy that is passed on from one government to the next. In comes a mysterious phone call from a capial in the world, and Israeli political drunkeness begins again.Like the the theme of Fiddler on the Roof ,only in mindset. Time to pick up and start anew. .... So,what about this mysterious phone call from the Syrian president? He wishes to distance himself now from Iran? Does Iran know this? Is this the same guy who just armed Hezbollah with his partner Iran with 40,000 missles in Lebanon pointed at Israel? Is this the guy who has moved closer with Turkey as they have chucked their Israeli relationship? Is this the guy who is annoyed by probes into the Harari assasination that he knows nothing of.? Is this the guy, like Abbas, who has stalled two more years away while again saying the new, creative, and novel words- give us everything or no deal? Forgive me, but the Hamas Palestinians in Gaza that Abbas seperates himself from, and Irans Hezbollahs in Lebanon that Syria claims ready to distance from, totally surrounds Israel with missiles.Thats the facts. Its the Abbas -Assad distraction show in living, hi def color....And two more years have passed. Two more years.......Clean your glasses and take a deep breath Ben. You can do it. Take a deep breath and say no on the Golan Heights and the territories more often. ... Say yes, on on a date and time, regarding Irans nuclear program.
