What he cannot predictReader comment on item: More on Mahdaviat in Current Politics Submitted by y Brandstetter MD (Israel), Apr 4, 2011 at 04:03 The true cataclysm Iran cannot predict is the end of Oil as a decisive factor in world affairs. Because Oil is the only factor which makes Iran or SA relevant to these affairs. Sans oil and oil revenue, both become utterly irrelevant which means no one gives a hoot about who rules Iran or Arabia since they make nothing of value. Now, this day when Oil is irrelevant is fast approaching, starting October 2011 when scores of thousands of electric cars will be made available in two countries, and three major countries one year later. At a stroke those who wish to revile oil will have an alternative and government who want to tax oil use to extinction will be able to show a viable alternative Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
