Complacency is Leading Us to What?Reader comment on item: American Taxpayers Funding Terror? Submitted by Jules Posten (United States), Apr 5, 2011 at 13:42 if you place a frog in a pan of boilng hot water, he will immediately jump out. however, if this same frog is placed in a pan of cold water and the heat is turmed up under the pan, the frog will just sit there as the water slowly heats around him, until presto, we have a boiled frog. if we can not understand how this analogy applies to us as a people, as a culture and a country, then indeed we are in terrible trouble. we are all in that pan of cool water, and the heat is being turned up. when we attempt to protest what plans the Islamists have for us, we are told in no uncertain terms, how bigioted we are, that we must be tolerant of other points of view, and even worse, we now have a "leader" who travels the world, beating his breast and crying about all the bad things that America has done and will continue to do, and begging for forgiveness, promising to "do better." the question is will we survive as a people, a culture, a country, or are we too complacent to do anything positive to make certain that America will continue to survive. being able to recognize and know your enemy for what he is, is not bigotry, it's good sense. for the sake of the world, we cannot surrender our ideals without a whimper. just remember that there is no such thing as tolerance for others and their beliefs in the 'religion of peace. be on guard of political correctness, no matter who spouts these half-cocked ideas. complacency and political correctness will lead us to ruin and disaster and the end of America as we know and revere it. don't forget, that pan of water is now getting warmer.
