Qatar and the Middle East Cold WarReader comment on item: Interview with Larry Elder to discuss the Bin Laden execution Submitted by Aymenn Jawad Al-Tamimi (United Kingdom), May 7, 2011 at 12:36 Dr. Pipes:- Surely it is more accurate to characterise Qatar as playing both sides in the present Middle Eastern Cold War, rather than being squarely in the Iran-led 'resistance bloc'? After all, Qatar hosts CENTCOM and still has some diplomatic ties with Israel.
