A GROUP OF NOMADS UPON ISRAELI LAND ON THE WEST BANK AND GAZA.Reader comment on item: The Motives Behind Palestinian Leader's Effort to Gain Statehood at U.N. Submitted by Ilene Richman (United States), Sep 25, 2011 at 16:40 The Arabs occupy 99.9% of the Middle East. Jordan is the Palestinian state and half of Jordan is made up of Palestinians. Prior to 1967 Israeli-Arab War, the Palestinians were Jordanian citizens. The people in Gaza were Egyptian citizens. Israel has made a grave error with the Oslo peace accords sponsored by treasonous Shirmon Peres with murderer and terrorist Yasser Arafat. At the conclusion of the 1967 war, Israel should have moved the Palestinians to Jordan and the Gazans to Egypt in order to secure their borders. But the Israelis hestitated in making this move which now leads to Abbas requesting a Palestinian state on the West Bank of Israel. We have 22 Arab countries. Now think about it. Do we really want a 23rd Arab country sitting directly on the borders of Israel. Of course, the answer is "no". Israel should keep moving the Palestinians further east to control the land on the West Bank. Then it will give the Israelis time to think about Gaza. But a fatal error was made by the prime ministers of Israel, including Ariel Sharon and Yitzak Rabin. Israel must use "forward" thinking and now that the lives of all the Israeli people are endangered if they cannot control the West Bank and Gaza. There is no other country, that is continuously attacked, that is being forced to give back land. Ask Tony Blair about Northern Ireland. Don't you think N. Ireland belong to the Irish and not the UK? Maybe the UN should discuss Kashmir (between Pakistan and India), Georgia and Russia, Turkey and the Kurds or Cypress between the Turks and Greeks. Let's start to bring up all these danger points in the world to keep the heat off of Israel. Let's write to the UN to declare the flash point of war in these regions that now have to be settled instead of always concentrating on Israel. The UN has a 1 way street-against Israel. Israel has fulfilled the UN 242 proposal of land for peace. It has given back the Sinai to Egypt and land to Jordan and Lebanon. Israel can go no further. I believe Israel should bring up 242 in he UN to tell the UN they have fulfilled their part of the bargain and now the bargain is finial-land for peace has been met.
