RELIGION, NOT POLITICS!Reader comment on item: A Middle East Party Submitted by Charles A. Odukomaiya (Trinidad And Tobago), Dec 13, 2004 at 11:28 Many thanks for this rather curious article. The reaction of the Arab world in the wake of 911 is a clear manifestation of a deep-seated hatred for Christ and Christianity. It was an attitude of the heart, not political. If the countries of West, especially, the U.S.A and Great Britain, continue to maintain an illusion that they can infiltrate the ranks of the Arab world riding on the tiger's back to foster some hypocritical cordiality in order to 'rule' them. They're mistaken! The countries of the West have opened their shores to Arabs presumptuously; the latter take over. It is a tragic error to presuppose that Islamists could be pacified appealing to reason. The ideology of Islam is radically divergent to ethics and values of the West which were largely founded on Christianity. No one dines with the devil and expect not to be devoured! Unless, the West would humble themselves, turning to the God of their fathers through geniune repentence, they had no hope! Sadly, but true, this is just the beginning of the end for the 'mighty' West; unless, of course, they repent!
