slippers?

What's wrong with Biden wearing slippers when a guest in a Turkish home? That's how it's done in most of Chinese-speaking Asia, and in Chinese diaspora homes in the USA, too. I for one think it a pleasant and hospitable habit. Come to think of it, there are rural white Americans who'll invite you to take your shoes off in their homes to feel more comfortable.
