Divestment is not just a policy for an Arab BoycottReader comment on item: The Geopolitics of Israel's Border Question Submitted by lawrenc (United States), Mar 22, 2012 at 08:45 Divestment of heavily Arab areas of the areas won by Israel in 1967 would simultaneously reduce the Arab population of Israel, possibly introduce a moderating view into West Bank politics, and show Israel's commitment to a 2 state solution. Imagine what Israel would look like today if it had insisted on incorporating Gaza into Issrael. Resolution of the current stalemate may not be possible until the Palestinians work out a modus operandi among themselves, but if and when they do, Israel should be prepared to settle the territorial issues and move to establish a prosperous Palestine that can be a partner for peace.
