Helping IsraelReader comment on item: Anarchy Surrounds Israel Submitted by J. M. Peterson (United States), Jul 19, 2012 at 01:54 Solutions to the series of programs in and around Israel: -a Defense Pact / treaty with Israel (like what we have with South Korea, Japan, Israel, NATO,etc.) Then we enforce it. The lack of such is part of why they are under siege. Their enemies are not deterred. -base combat troops and aircraft in Israel. This should include special operations, ISR/UAV, and other capabilities, in Israel. We don't see the type of problems that Israel is having in South Korea, Japan, Germany and Western Europe, and other places that we are allies with. Why? -start going after Hizbollah more aggressively and overtly. Built by and acting as a proxy of Iran. Having a squadron of fighter aircraft with CSAR and other air superiority and air-ground assets within striking distance of Hizbollah targets could do great things in terms of turning them back. Some of us think that we need to take more of a side on the defense of Israel and show the world that we are serious about protecting them. Israel gets hit with rockets all of the time, and it never makes our news. If rockets started raining down on Rome, Berlin, or London, it would make the news. If we are serious about protecting Jews and Israel, lets do for them what we have done for so many others in wars past and present, or at least, put our combat power right on top of their enemies.
