I THANK YOU DR SAAD, you dont know me, but you touched my life and the life of my family with your generousity and goodness.

When the war in iraq started our family was one of the victims. Some died and were killed and our house was destroyed by USA bombs ... .my sisters and brothers stayed in the street with no home no shelter. The iraqi government didn't care. usa and iraqi authorities didnt pay damages or rebuild the house; in fact they kicked my family out when they went to ask for help!!!! Is this democracy and justice? If i broke your car, i should pay, even if i have no insurance!!!! But this is IRAQ and iraq means arguments and people who fight with words.

But we were lucky that your tv show selected my family for "al-beet al-sades beet ramzi" and "amal ramzi in al shaljeya baghdad" to be rebuilt. Even though some of the people in charge stole items and cheated my family, in the end the house was rebuilt and thanks to you, my family now has shelter and a place to call home.

i cried a lot and asked GOD that one day i can see you and can thank you in person to kiss your hand. i have to do this before i die. i dont know how to find you or meet you. i live in calgary, alberta- canada. i did go to the Gulf but didnt know where to see you or how. It is my promise to my sisters and family to face you and thank you personally, which is what my dad asked me to do before he passed away. My dad died few months after you built the house and he died in his new house from an injury that affected his leg when the bombs hit our house. He managed to talk to me on the phone and tell me to promise to thank you in person and take care of my sisters.
