Yesh Atid may crash too due to hubrisReader comment on item: Assessing Kadima Submitted by PezDispenser (Israel), Feb 4, 2013 at 03:12 Although there is a market for center voters in Israel, Yair Lapid, head of Yesh Atid, has stuck his foot in his mouth by coming out in two interviews with his desire for the PM spot next time, even though he has no political, defensive, or legislative track record. This hubris may cost him dearly, since now the Likud party has been warned of his intentions and has an obvious incentive to torpedo or co-opt Yesh Atid's goals. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate. For complete regulations, see the "Guidelines for Reader Comments". Daniel Pipes replies: I agree. Lapid has abandoned the modesty of his campaign and has let the 19 seats go to his head.
