Deicide + Allies of the Arabs as the reason of Christian anti-semitism.Reader comment on item: The Jew As Ally of the Muslim Submitted by Isaac Haskiya (Denmark), Apr 21, 2013 at 05:26 These two thoughts, alone or together, are questionable. Deicide by itself is a nonsense word. Firstly, because god or gods cannot be killed by humans; it is contrary to the definition of the former as being immortal and of the latter as being a mere mortal. If extensions can be made on these definitions then we're dealing with distortions. If Christians accept a man born of a woman as a divinity then the problem is theirs. Secondly, Yeshua Benyasef was a Jew and if he has been condemned by a Jewish Court, the Sanhedrin, then he has been judged and condemned by his peers, at that given time and under those circumstances. Talking about deicide 2 or 300 years later is vain not to say foolish. Jews as the allies of the Arabs was a temporary possibility within the circumstances in Spain at the time when Constantine the First's and Goth Legislation passed laws and rules that legally condemned defenceless Jews to permanent objects of persecution. When Arabs came, Jews might have assisted them both as civilians and as soldiers. There are documents on Jews governing cities conquered by the Arabs or fighting in the Arab armies of Al-Andalus with a flag depicting the Magen David. If Christians acted like oppressors or enemies why shouldn't Jews defend themselves when they have the opportunity. Projecting these two concepts as a logical reason of anti-semitism today wherever it occurs is also vain and foolish since there cannot be a reason to such an unreasonable and silly thing as anti-semitism. Jews have every right to protect themselves against such a criminal attitude, even more today when Israel has the military possibility to counter any kind of physical anti-semitic activity, measure by measure, "midah neged midah" in Hebrew.
