Lee Oswald neither conservative nor communistReader comment on item: Still Blaming Conservatives for Lee Harvey Oswald Submitted by Phil Dragoo (United States), Nov 19, 2013 at 23:19 Daniel Pipes Your commentary on the Middle East is always the best. In the case of Kennedy and Oswald, as a Goldwater conservative at the time of the assassination I cannot be accused of being a Camelotian; mine is an argument against the perennial and provable lie. Lee Oswald was an intelligence operative of ONI, FBI, and CIA, was not in the window, did not own the weapon, did not fire the weapon, the fatal shot was from the front. Bugliosi is exploded by DiEugenio et al; ditto Posner and the entire Warren fiction. As you value academic honesty, Gerald McKnight, Breach of Trust: How the Warren Commission Failed the Nation and Why; James Douglass, JFK and the Unspeakable: Why He Died and Why It Matters; James DiEugenio, Reclaiming Parkland and Destiny Betrayed second edition. The Vietnam War was literally fought over JFK's dead body. I would have preferred the debates between Goldwater and Kennedy to the contrived war fought for profit rather than victory. The harm and consequence are cursing the nation's course to this day, and the divisive and contentious domestic conversation translated into contradictory and conflicted foreign policy can only be corrected by an accounting of the exercise of raw amoral power in 1963.
