COLLAPSE OF ISRAEL-PALESTINIAN NEGOTIATIONS

Reader comment on item: The U.S. legacy in the Middle East is disappearing

These negotiations collapsed as there never should have been any negotiations. When Israel won the West Bank in 1967, the Palestinians should have been expelled to their homeland of Jordan. Jordan is the Palestinian state. Israel is not a good negotiator. It took control of the Sinai, the Golan Heights, West Bank, Gaza. Israel, so far, has given away the Sinai and Gaza. At least the transfer of the Sinai has brought peace with Egypt. But there could never be a peace with the Palestinians. Israel should have immediately occupied the West Bank and Gaza and removed the Palestinians to Jordan. Jordan, at that time, was an enemy state and would have accepted the Palestinians.

But Israel made stupid mistakes and is now suffering for their idiotic mistakes. Israel took control of the Sinai and the Golan Heights in 1967 but did not take control of the West Bank.

Now they are boxed in with Anti-Semitic American negotiators. Israel should move its construction into the West Bank and move out the Palestinians and the Hammas, a terrorist organization, from Judea and Samaria. Let Israel figure out where to send them. Israel made the horrible mistake of not ridding the Palestinians in 1967, so it is up to Israel where to send them now. But, the first thing is to get them out of the West Bank which is Israeli land.
