Fine. But, the next item is to move on to your position--agree with it or not? And what is your defense of your position. It is Pipes' position and the reason he holds it that I want to hear. I take it your position is "Its Folly". I agree with all you wrote about "Sharon's Folly" My question is What would you do about it? What do you recommend Sharon do if you were his advisor? I do not like the Gaza pull-out. But I don't know if Israel has the guts --or desire--to annex it. Of all the things that Israel can conceivably do in Gaza or the West Bank, is the Gaza withdrawal the one act for which Israel would have the least regret in the future?
