Muslims that live in places like the Middle East have great difficulty in understanding what the American legal system is all about. They only see the likes of the woman that was awarded money for burns that she sustained from hot coffee

Yes it is a silly lawsuit but again is it viewed as evidence that it is easy to sue and it is easy to be awarded damages here in the US

What Muslims in the Middle East do not understand is that yes they can sue anyone they want but this comes with a long process of discovery, and then we have the courts and our jury system and the cost that can be prohibitive and no one can predict the outcome

You expect that lawyers of CAIr should know better but it is clear to me they do not
