Past is prologue.

It would be wise to judge Turkey on its current events and history, instead of what stems from the past in Washington, London and other places deemed to be the Anglosphere.

It reminds me of what Madeleine Albright said, "If there was only a Yugoslavian Havel". Well, given the different histories of the Czech Republic and Yugoslavia, that is akin to waiting for Godot.
